We are therefore glad and privileged to undertake this CPA project since it’s going to be the baseline for addressing the CPA implementation process, rule of law and human right in South Sudan. To achieve our stated vision, “To see a competitive Southern Sudan, with productive and God-fearing people”, the project will help fast track our mission and obligation to the people of Southern Sudan. As always, we shall undertake to realize the project mandate and inculcate values of integrity, accountability, transparency and neutrality.
My thanks go to the community, our staff, and the government, stakeholders, including such pivotal development partners such as UNDP and all persons and organizations of goodwill that are always willing to help us move on a path toward social healing, tolerance, peace and development. In particular, it is UNKEA’s hope that UNDP will continue support this project so as to help in the realization of the specified objectives as well as help our organization meet its mandate.

It is also UNKEA’s believe that the government of Southern Sudan will continue working to address, amongst other things, peace, security, gender, rule of laws and human right issues to help realize a conducive environment for the well-being of the society at large.

Problems or difficulties in project implementation
Nasir County, which has been the platform of UNKEA’s CPA project, was heavily affected by this war meaning that the livelihood of people has been immensely interfered with. People have suffered psychologically and continue to be traumatized by the effects of the war. They have also suffered socially and economically.

This program was designed to ensure that community, in the Nasir County and its environs have understood the CPA and rule of law.

UNKEA has kick off the CPA dissemination workshop 2nd in Nasir County, Upper Nile State in the month of October 1st and 2nd 2008, and all the identified community members to serves as disseminators are fully aware about the program and waiting for the water level to go down so that they might reach the proposed payams with the message
